Hypnobirthing

Hypno Birthing

This is a 4 week one to one course for families who wish to have the best birthing experience possible. It’s approximately 12hrs and can be delivered face to face or online and is tailored to your individual circumstances. Kghypnobirthing is the only course recommended and accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. This course can be taken as early as you would like during your second trimester, but will benefit at anytime during pregnancy. The earlier is better so you can enjoy during your pregnancy as well as birth.

What’s covered

Your hypnobirthing course includes all materials and audios and email support in between sessions for any questions/information.

Session one – the logic around Hypnobirthing

  • Addressing your worries and fears around birth

  • Discussing what you want to achieve and how you would like your birth to be

  • Hypnotherapy explained

  • How the mind works and the impact this has on the body

  • Births from the natural world

  • Muscles of the uterus

  • The nervous system during labour

  • Relaxation session

Session two – Techniques involved

  • Breathing techniques and visualisations

  • Guided relaxation

  • Cues for relaxation

  • Baby positions

  • Caesarean birth and gentle Caesarean

  • Preventing tearing

  • Positions for birth

  • Relaxation session

 

Session three – Before Birth

  • Due dates

  • The impact of stress

  • Induction of labour

  • Communication with care providers

  • The role of medical professionals

  • The beginning of natural labour

  • Relaxation session








Session four – The Birth

  • Options for the place of birth

  • The role of the birth partner

  • Early labour Kghypnobirthing

  • Established labour

  • Down stage of labour with breathing techniques and visualisations

  • The ‘Golden Hour’

  • Birth preferences

  • Extra information

  • What to pack for birth

  • Relaxation session

As this course will be private any information needed around particular circumstances can be included in the course and this should be detailed on the intake form or discussed as soon as possible.
